Do the Friendly Monsters keep themselves clean?

The Monsters are not capable of keeping themselves clean, they could really use your help. A slight problem with this, is that Friendly Monsters are claustrophobic by nature.

All Monsters have had several therapy sessions before leaving our premises. But still, it can be difficult to get them to enter the washing machine. Some soft coercion and encouraging words should help.
To make its ride more pleasurable, we advise you to use a small amount of soft detergent and a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius (105 degrees Fahrenheit). Next, leave the Monster at a dry and warm place. Don't be alarmed if it appears to be distant and private for a couple of hours...it'll come around.
In case you lack the power of persuasion or don't have the heart to force it into the machine you can always pamper it in the tub with some soft detergent.
Due to washing, discoloration can occur.


Are my kids safe with the Friendly Monsters?

They are not called 'Friendly' for nothing...they loooove kids! They don't bite...they suck your earlobe at the very most, when you're not paying attention. But they are handmade objects, made to be loved and hugged.
We take the utmost care to keep the stitching, eyes and other parts in place during normal and intense cuddling.

It is your responsibility to judge if it is safe to leave a Monster with a young one.

michellekuipers.nl cannot be held responsible for any harm or injury that may be caused directly or indirectly by a Monster.


What about the prices of the items on this website?

The prices on this website are in Euros and include sales tax (19% for Europe). Local customs differ per country and are not included.
Within the Netherlands orders are sent with TNTPost ‘zeker pakket’. Worldwide shipping is done with Track & Trace and delivery confirmation. For more information: contact me.
All prices, pictures and descriptions on this site are subject to change. We maintain no responsibility for inadvertent errors.


How do I order an item from this site?

If you find a product in the product catalog (click one of the categories in the menu above to explore the catalog), you can easily see if this product is for sale, or in stock.
If it's in stock you can buy exactly the one shown on the page. Items that are not in stock, can be especially made for you.
Click on the link ‘Order now’ Fill in the form, add your wishes if necessary, to order and send it.

You will receive a confirmation mail with more information about the completion of the order. After receiving payment for the item by michellekuipers.nl, the items are send to you as soon as possible. For more information about the delivery period, see the answer to the next question.


How long does it take to get a bag or monster?

After your order has been processed and payment received, we want you to have the item as soon as possible. If an item is in stock, it can be delivered within a week (in The Netherlands). If an item has to be especially made, it will take a few weeks to get it to where you are, depending on the specific wishes. These delivery periods are indicational only. When you order, you will get an e-mail confirmation with a more specific delivery date.


I want to use images from your website, may I?

Really? I'm honored! Still, I’m kinda curious what you want to use the images for. Everything on the website (images, bags and the friendly monsters) are copyright by michellekuipers.nl, Delft (The Netherlands). The images cannot be used or reproduced without written permission from michellekuipers.nl.
If you want to use my images for any kind of media, please contact me first. Thank you!


What’s your privacy policy?

When you order an item or send us an e-mail, we proudly add you to our mailing list. We do not give any personal information to third parties, even if they promise us the earth or superpowers! We use your information for order purposes only (and once in a while to inform you about updates and special offers).
If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, simply send an e-mail with ‘unsubscribe’ in the subject.


What do I do if I want to return an item?

The items are handmade with great care and lots of love, giving each product its own character. After that, they are prepared for the journey to you. Throughout this process it is possible that slight differences can occur in size, form or color, compared to the items shown on the website. This can never be a reason to return an item.

In case something went terribly wrong with your order, please send me an e-mail within 3 days after delivery, and we will find a solution.

Always wait for our authorization e-mail before sending any items back. (If you do not receive prior authorization, you will not be eligible for a refund.)

You will have to return the item within 7 working days after delivery.

Shipping the returned item is your responsibility and has to be send with Track & Trace and delivery confirmation.

To get a full refund (shipping costs excluded), the return has to be authorized by e-mail and the item must be unused and complete.
Items which are damaged due to abuse or negligence of the item will not be considered for a refund.

Refunds will be made within 15 working days after receiving the returned item.
